Photographs of Crowheart Butte in Central Wyoming

This collection of images features Crowheart Butte, a prominent landmark in central Wyoming. My brother lives just a few miles from the butte. It is an erosional remnant of an Eocene basin fill in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains. Visitors can view the butte to the north from US Highway 26, 287 (two numbers for the same stretch of highway).

I've found over the years that Crowheart Butte looks different every time I see it. How it looks changes with time day, weather, and the seasons of the year. These changes show up in the photographs.
