Haines Triangle,
Yukon Territory & British Columbia

Reifel Bird Sanctuary

East of the Saint Elia's Range, in the Yukon Territory and the Province of British Columbia, lays approximately one million hectares of land, largely unexploited. In the shape of an inverted triangle, the parcel is bounded on the north by the Alaska Highway between Whitehorse and Haines Junction, on the west by the highway from Haines Junction to the tip of the Alaskan Panhandle north of Skagway, and by an imaginary line from the Panhandle back to Whitehorse. This patch of land with few people and lots of space has unofficially been called the Haines Triangle. The photos in this collection were taken on a tour conducted by Liron Gertzman, June 12 - 16, 2025.(https://www.lirongertsman.com/).
