Chickadees

Many people regard chickadees as something special in the world of birds. Their vocalizations are easy to distinguish; they are tolerant of humans and their activities; they are found almost everywhere in North American forests, whether urban or natural; they figure prominently in many First Nation's stories and legends. This human-bird love affair has gone on for millennia.
